There are many types of spa treatments; there are massage, facial treatments, body treatments, hand treatments and feet treatments.
Massage
Massage treatment is the stimulation of the lymphatic system which eliminates waste from the body. This is performed by stroking, rubbing or kneading parts of the body. Swedish massage is developed by Per Henrik Ling, a Swedish doctor. This is beneficial to the nerves, muscles, glands and circulation. Its techniques are to relax muscles by rubbing the same direction and applying pressure to the deeper muscles and bones. This is with long strokes, vibration, kneading, tapping percussion and shaking motions. This reduces emotional and physical stress also stimulates the skin and nervous system.

Shiatsu Massage
Shiatsu massage means ‘finger pressure’ in Japanese. This technique uses not only finger pressure as well as thumbs, palms, knees, forearms, elbows and feet. The pressure can be gentle and soothing; it depends actually on the need of the person being massaged. Regular Shiatsu sessions help prevents building up of stress in our daily lives. This session lasts to forty minutes (40) to an hour.

Acupressure Massage
Acupressure massage is based on the acupuncture principles without the use of the needles; it uses finger pressure on specific points of the body. This is a Chinese technique that they believe that there are meridian pathways in our body that carries energy called chi. This is a therapy that activates energies to restore harmony and fight illness in the body. This also can help ease ailments from tension, stress, arthritis, aches, pains, cramps, digestive disorders, migraines, insomnia and even depression.
Facial Treatments
Facial Treatments are skin treatments for the face by cleansing and exfoliating. This also can improve skin texture, elasticity and tone. Here are some examples of facial treatments, microfacial, glycolic and waxing and tinting.
